UPDATE 4/11/2025: BMW Motorrad has confirmed the F 450 GS as a production model for 2026.

The bike will feature:

Cast aluminium wheels, single disc front brake, ABS Pro, Upside Down fork (adjustable, Rear suspension strut with travel-dependent damping (WAD), Rear rebound and preload adjustable, DTC.
Heated Grips, LED Taillight, Dynamic Brake Light, USB Port, Info Flat screen, LED turn indicators, Comfort indicators, Multicontroller, 6-inch TFT with connectivity, LED headlight with Daytime Riding Light
One key for all locks, adjustable foot-brake lever/gear lever/clutch lever/handbrake lever, Riding Modes (3)
MSR (Dynamic Engine Brake Control), Dynamic Traction Control disengageable
845mm seat height, 178kg kerb weight, 14L fuel tank (3.8 L/100km) 43mm USD with 180mm travel.

Could we see the F 450 GS as a production motorcycle in Australia?

UPDATE 4/11/2025: BMW Motorrad has confirmed the F 450 GS as a production model for 2026.

There will be three variants available in the Australian market: Exclusive, Sport and Trophy. All new two-cylinder engine and new Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) guarantee riding confidence.

F 450 GS Concept information: BMW Motorrad plans to present the corresponding series vehicle in the style of the Concept F 450 GS in 2025.

The question that arises when looking at the BMW Concept F 450 GS is: What could we expect in a production version? Johann Simon, vehicle project manager of the Concept F 450 GS, explains: "No compromises for sure. Following the very sporty off-road focus of the Concept F 450 GS, we will implement the bike as close as possible to this concept. We will only adjust the seat height for better accessibility and easier handling. As an alternative to the cross-spoke wheels (19 inches front, 17 inches rear), lightweight but high-strength cast aluminium wheels in the same dimensions are also conceivable."

This month

We all want more than is realistic. Brisan's is busy for a reason, they provide what people want. My deal on a new bike came from me having service work proformed by their Service Techs and they got the work done and I was happy with my service charge. Dreaming while my bike was in service Nick from sales engaged me and got to understand my wants and worked through costing options. I feel Nick wanted to have my back but was clear where deals can be made, went in to bat with upper sales to get a deal done, even after closing time. Although I didn't end up using finace for my purchase, Carmel, also working late, worked hard to make my numbers work. And Carmel did get us there if I wanted finance. My visits to Brisan's over the last week, service, sales, finance, and the good team that stood my new bike in front of me has been an open frank and positive thing. Not bad for a big dealer, I was looked after. Thanks Nick, thanks Brisan's.
