A few people took the tour to Port
Arthur which started with a cruise around the islands and then back to go
around Port Arthur itself, but Kevin did his own run out to Huonville via
Mount Wellington and looked around Hobart itself.
The climb was endless curves like
the photo below (25kph) over and over, upwards into the heavens.
And
then the summit was finally reached, a mere 1230 metres above sea level
and by the way the spire was straight it was the photographer the was on
an angle.
It is certainly not a trip for the
faint hearted as even Kevin had to stop and collect his thoughts in some
areas where the road just had nothing but clouds and sky around it.
But
once at the top the views were magnificent.
Zoom in and
this is what you see from way up there. Almost like looking out of a
plane window.
And if all
this wasn't enough, you could also walk out and be part of the clouds.
Truly amazing looking over so much.
