After a big storm that blew in
around 4:30am, the day remained overcast and cool. The sun tried to come
out in the afternoon but it remained a pleasant 21 degrees
thereabouts.
By 8:30am breakfast was over and
Kevin was at the track.
At 9:00am it was quite a
gloomy looking day compared to the hot day it was yesterday, in fact many
times it looked like it was going to bucket down at any time.
Around
12:30pm BMW guests got to do a pit walk and this year there were two more
BMW S1000RR's on the track running for Team Reitwagen BMW with Andrew Pitt
and Roland Resch. These two bikes are production versions unlike the
BMW Race versions.
The usual LARGE crowds surrounded
the BMW Pit area. The bikes were being prepared for the afternoon's
superpole.
And
of course the Xaus camp was right next door and surprisingly all the bikes
were in one piece... Only kidding, Ruben had dropped the bike 3 times in
yesterday's practice.
As mentioned
earlier the sun tried to come out, and hopefully the reports will be wrong
for their prediction for a rainy and cold day at the track.
